The actor, whose real name is Oluwayomi Oluwarotimi Akanbi Lanso, is popularly known by fans as Yomi Fash Lanso. He was born on the 7th of June 1968 and clocked the age of 53 in 2021.
According to records, the ace actor is a native of Ogun State but was born in Ebute Metta, Lagos, to Mr Alamu Olansosiwaju and Mrs Adedoyin Fashola.
The actor is the last child with five siblings, three brothers and two sisters.
The actor had his primary and secondary school in Lagos state. He went to Jibril Martin Grammar School in Iponri, after which he gained admission to the University of Lagos, Akoka, to study Business Administration.
He also has a certificate from the Independent Television Producers Association of Nigeria (ITPAN), where he took a course in Film Directing and Producing.
Yomi Fash Lanso started as a banker after graduating from Unilag. He, however, made his acting debut in February 1995 in the movie titled Omolade, directed by veteran actor Jide Kosoko.
He happens to be among the few actors who acted on stage back in the era of stage drama.
The actor was at some point in his career banned by the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners for questioning its executives over the welfare of members.
Yomi Fash Lanso has acted in over 100 movies.
He was nominated for the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards for his role in Omo Elemosho in 2014.
Also, in 2014, he won the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in Omo Elemosho, from the NEA Awards which took place in the US.
Yomi got married to his wife Adetutu George in 2004, and their union is blessed with children. The actor revealed he met his wife in a phone booth, and they dated for four years.
